Recipe: Bottleneck’s Bloody Mary

Bottleneck Bar and Eatery, has made quite a splash since opening in Darlinghurst earlier this year. Specialising in meatballs and bloody mary’s, it has quickly developed a reputation for having the best Marys in town. You can now try making their signature bloody Mary at home with this special recipe that bar manager, Kass Hill, has shared with us.

Bottleneck’s Bloody Mary

45ml Ketel One vodka
120ml house tomato juice*
10ml fresh lemon juice
15ml Worchestershire sauce
5 dashes Tabasco sauce
Salt and pepper to taste

Method: Build in a tall glass or handled beer mug. Fill with ice and garnish with a celery stalk, lemon wedge and a pickle. Finish with a wee sprinkling of pepper.

* The ‘house tomato juice’ at Bottleneck is 2 parts tomato juice (shop bought is fine) to 1 part fresh celery juice and 1 part fresh carrot juice.
