H2O: Water Bar pop up is every Dry July participants best friend

Sydney’s love of pop up bars continues with the launch of H20: Water Bar. Shaken not stirred, it is a small bar with a twist. Outfitted like an apothecary or laboratory, this glistening installation by Sydney-based artist Janet Laurence will occupy the heritage-listed surrounds of Paddington Reservoir Gardens until the end of the month. And get this, it will only serve water. So perfect for those taking on FebFast but still wanting a thirst-quenching night out.
H20
Having expertly curated a drinks list of water sourced from diverse regions all across the country, Laurence hopes that the Water Bar will draw visitor’s attention to Australia’s fragile and complex connection to this vital, natural resource. This follows up her participation in the art exhibition at last year’s United Nations climate change conference, Artists 4 Paris Climate Change 2015. Here she displayed a work about the impacts of global warming and ocean acidification to the Great Barrier Reef.
Alongside the Water Bar is a series of diverse talks, discussions and performances all designed to further extend the conservation conversation.
