Sydney’s Coolest Wellness Brand Is Turning Up the Heat in Marrickville

Play / 12 November 2025

After winning over Bondi and Green Square with their high-tech saunas and ice baths, XtraClubs is bringing its cult wellness experience to Marrickville later this year, with Manly set to follow early next year.

If you haven’t heard the buzz, XtraClubs is the first wellness brand in Australia to offer a self-service, tech-enhanced recovery experience that feels more like a luxury spa. Open from 6am to 11pm, seven days a week, it’s designed for those who want premium recovery on their own terms, think sauna sessions after your morning run or an ice bath reset before dinner.

The Marrickville club will feature two Finnish saunas (including one “Silent Zone” for total zen), four custom-built infrared saunas, six ice baths set at a crisp 3°C and 10°C, and a steam room inspired by traditional wellness rituals. There’ll even be a dedicated Silent Zone for anyone craving deep, uninterrupted calm.

For now, founding memberships are open with early bird pricing, a one-time offer that won’t be repeated once they’re gone. Options start from just $19.95 per week, giving Sydneysiders a chance to experience “affordable luxury” wellness.

XtraClubs was founded by brothers Anthony and James Simonetta and their friend Simon Hamilton, born out of Anthony’s personal journey to make high-end recovery more accessible. So if you’ve been eyeing the wellness trend but skipping the $80-a-session bathhouse, this is your moment, community wellness meets sleek, Scandinavian-inspired design, right in the heart of Marrickville.
