After 17 years of serving steak frites, beloved Waverley French bistro Bronte Road Bistro has transformed into Bronte Road Fish, a casual local fish joint from chef-owner Matt Barnett and co-owner Stewart Parsons.
Barnett’s been on a mission to create the perfect fish burger, and along the way discovered a secret technique for the ultimate potato scallop, balancing umami and crunch factor just right. The no-fuss menu features fish burgers, tuna smash burgers, prawn katsu burgers, mushroom burgers, plus fish and chips, salads, sides and soft serve.
The drinks list is equally approachable, with wines by the glass and bottle, margarita slushies, gin and tonic on tap, and ready-to-drink aperitivo and limoncello spritz made with Ester Spirits. Parsons has also curated vintage cellar selections for those wanting to pair their burger with burgundy.
Set to be a go-to for locals and beachgoers, Bronte Road Fish is open daily from 11am to 9pm for dine-in or takeaway, with a sunny courtyard and soft serve window for post-swim treats.
