Lovers of a crisp glass of rosé will be on cloud wine this October, as Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel gets set to transform into a vibrant street festival dedicated to summer’s iconic pink drink.
Now in its second year, the Rosé Street Fest will be held Sunday 27th October from 11am-7pm, with rosé-themed festivities spilling out on to Military Road adjacent to Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel. On the day, you can expect live entertainment and rosé tasting stalls from over 20 leading Australian and international producers. For the sweet tooths, the festival is also giving you the chance to sample fruity coconut pops from Proud & Punch, plus pink desserts and frosé from the revamped Watsons Bay street food cart.
And with a festival that looks this good, you won’t want to leave without a snapping a ‘gram. Luckily, they’ll be plenty of spots to take advantage of the view. Stop by the Amalia Swing at Château Roquefeuille’s stall and lift your glass to say cheers to the perfect Instagram shot. Bring your pup along to Bone Dry Dry Rosé’s stand to grab a Polaroid memento with your furry friend and a free piccolo to take home. And don’t forget to swing by Mink Pink’s giant claw machine to test your skills as you try to scoop up sunglasses, discount codes and even the chance to win a $1,000 wardrobe.
With rosé as the star attraction, guests will be able to sample drinks and stalls from Château Roquefeuille, Pierre D’Amour, AIX, Mirabeau, Santa Margherita, Gilbert, Batch and Co, Tractorless Vineyard, Bone Dry Rose, Freeman, Vineful, Riot Wine, La Maschera, Mateus Rosé and many more. Plus, there’s Blossom Rosé Sparkling Apple Cider to sample, too.
This year, the festival’s prepaid packages now include a BBF package ($49) which includes 18 wine tasting tokens and up to two rosé tasting glasses. Alternatively, you can nab a $32 prepaid ticket which includes a complimentary rosé tasting glass and 9 wine tasting tokens to sample wines throughout the day. Otherwise, on-the-day entry to the Rosé Street Fest is free of charge and guests can purchase wine tasting tokens for $3.50 each and the tasting glass for $7.
