Located in the picturesque Walsh Bay, the renowned Roslyn Packer Theatre has showcased some of the greats in theatre, currently playing The Present starring Cate Blanchett and Richard Roxburgh.
Now the theatre has opened it’s doors to a star on the rise – the new dining venue Walsh Bay Kitchen (the former site of Hickson Road Bistro) is ready to delight the locals and theatre goers with it’s new menu.

No more frantic taxi rides to the theatre, Walsh Bay Kitchen is open right next to the action, so you can dine carefree. Relax with a glass of wine from their impressive wine list and enjoy the culinary delights from the kitchen.
Executive Chef Ashley Hughes and Head Chef Kay Huang offer a menu, set to match the performances on stage. Modern Australian dining with an Asian twist, the unique bar and menu aims to suit everyone.

Dishes range from eternal favourites like spag bol or fish and chips to more sophisticated dishes such as seared scallops with almond emulsion and squid ink.
You can choose from either a two course meal for $47, or a three course meal for $57, and receive a free glass of Chain of Fire Wine on the house. The Kitchen is open for both lunch and dinner, as well as supper for after the show, for the guests who don’t want their night to end.
There is also a list of house cocktails, including a Walsh Bay Rickey, their take on a traditional Gin Rickey, and a specialty list of sherries and digestives.
