Challenge yourself with a 37km walk through the night in support of UNICEF!
UNICEF (the world’s largest children’s charity) is organising an almost marathon charity walk this coming November. Set to be Sydney’s biggest walk to date, the event will start in North Sydney’s St. Leonards Park and finish on the other side of the city, at Bondi Beach. The walks’ participants will experience Sydney in a whole new light (literally), all for a great cause!
UNICEF has been overwhelmed by a surge in emergencies in recent years. In 2023 alone, they responded to over 400 crises across 107 countries. Children caught in the crossfire of natural disasters and wars are desperately in need of the charity’s support. By participating in this event, you’re helping to ensure these children receive essential vaccines, medicines, and education all while being kept out of harm’s way. With a recommended fundraising goal of at least $500, your efforts will have a significant impact on the lives of children in need.
The walk starts at 8pm and is expected to take until between 1am and 6am to complete, with the following waypoints offering refreshments and a break:
- 1. St Leonards Park (Start Line).
- 2. Rushcutters Bay Park.
- 3. Lyne Park.
- 4. Christison Park.
- 5. Bondi Park (Finish Line).

*Participants must be at least 18 years old to participate and walk with at least one other person. Only certified assistance dogs are allowed.
