Soak in sweeping views of the Sydney Harbour skyline at sunset this summer with three epic months of live music.
What’s your most memorable live music experience? Was it your first solo gig while traveling the world? Or maybe it was that killer NYE music festival you spent months saving up for? This summer, Sydneysiders are set to be treated to another installment of Twilight at Taronga, a sunset concert series set against one of the city’s best backdrops.
To mark its 25th anniversary, Twilight at Taronga returns in January 2020 bigger and better than ever. The annual event has been entertaining locals and visitors alike, boasting an incredible line-up of Australian and international music acts across three jam-packed months. As a not-for-profit event, each concert donates all proceeds towards Taronga Zoo’s ongoing conservation work. In 2020, the focus of fundraising will be on the Litter Free Oceans campaign, aiming to protect marine wildlife and oceans by reducing single-use plastics (a timely message during the warmer months). And this year, music lovers are set to be treated to something extra special.
Twilight at Taronga’s 2020 live music line-up is set to showcase the likes of Broods, Wolfmother, Pete Murray, Bernard Fanning, Kasey Chambers, Meg Mac and many more. The concert series kicks off on January 31st with NZ duo Broods taking to the stage, hosted within Taronga Zoo’s intimate natural amphitheatre. Punters can nab tickets to concerts taking place every Friday and Saturday night until March 7th, with the series coming to a close with a Comedy Gala featuring some of Australia’s best acts including Kitty Flanagan, Randy Feltface and Luke McGregor.
Want to elevate your sunset concert experience? Make sure to take advantage of the concert’s luxe extras. Add on a Chillazy outdoor chair and cushion, picnic rug, and a gourmet hamper for two (filled with tasty delights plus your choice of wine). Want to make a night of it? Purchase the Twilight Wildlife Retreat Package to stay the night in this newly launched eco-retreat overlooking Sydney Harbour. You’ll nab first access to the concert lawn, a gourmet picnic hamper and will wake up to breakfast and a guided morning walk through the zoo.
Get in quick, pre-sale tickets for Twilight at Taronga members opens midday tomorrow (October 29th). But never fear, tickets will be released to the general public at 12pm on Thursday, October 31st. To find out more and to grab your tickets, click here.
