The Harbour is the fish and chippery boasting the city’s best views, from the unique location of Sydney Opera House.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Sydney’s most iconic landmark, the waterfront destination is paying homage to its former life with a revival of the Opera House’s original restaurant, The Harbour.
The pop-up will spotlight the original restaurant’s flagship offering of sustainably-sourced fresh seafood, crisp-fried fish, golden crunchy chips and takeaway classics, all backdropped to timeless views of the summer sun twinkling on Sydney Harbour.
The menu has been expertly designed by Executive Chef Lee Thompson and is swimming with top-tier classics; think fish burgers made with the freshest market fish, panko crumb, slaw, iceberg, and tartare served on a sesame milk bun with chips; or if you really want to go all out, devour a satiating seafood platter of Tiger prawns, Fremantle octopus, gin cured salmon, marinated mussels, grilled prawns, salt & pepper squid, grilled fish tacos, potato scallops, chips, slaw & all the trimmings designed to be shared between two.
Plus, to accompany your feast, The Harbour will be slinging the ultimate summer cocktail with a quintessentially Australian twist- a Hibiscus & Desert Lime Margarita made with Espolon Reposado Tequila, Hibiscus, Desert Lime & fresh Lime Juice.
Dine in and you’ll be treated to recollections of the site in all it’s historic glory, with images projected across the venue and embellished with retro décor, as well as an unmissable live entertainment lineup every Thursday & Friday between 4.30pm – 7.30pm throughout the duration of the pop-up.
Like all true Fish & Chip fare, the flavourful menu can also be served to-go, so if you’re only in town for a short time and want to see all Sydney Harbour has to offer, take your catch away for an al fresco feed on the harbour or surrounding Botanical Gardens.
