The Espy, a stylish new alfresco bar, has opened in Manly. Expect breathtaking views, a menu of seaside delights and 4 Pines on bevs!
The Espy is partnering with local favourites, 4 Pines Brewing Co. on drinks, unveiling a stylish new container bar pouring a fantastic selection of beers, including those from 4 Pines and Brookvale Union.”We have been slinging beers and banter to the manly community for nearly 17 years,” said Todd Atkinson, CEO of 4 Pines Brewing Co. “We are pumped to be able to do this with our mates from The Boathouse at The Espy – it will be one of the most iconic beer gardens in Australia.” And, of course, a selection of cocktails, spritzes, and wines are also on offer.
As for views, The Espy boasts front-row seats to the bustling Manly Wharf. Watch ferries roll in and out of the city while you sip on an Aperol Spritz and watch the sunset. “We are proud to announce this exciting addition to Manly just in time for summer,” said Ben Collis from The Boathouse Group. “Finally, the community can enjoy the iconic waterside location again after the aquarium closed in 2018.”
With a focus on creating a welcoming space for Sydneysiders, The Espy offers a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere. Expect a no-fuss menu, including fresh oysters, tuna tostadas, and crispy calamari rings. If you’re craving something heartier, they also have a selection of delicious pizzas, burgers, traditional fish and chips, and more—the perfect post-beach feed, if you ask us!
The Espy joins the family of Boathouse Group venues at Manly Cove, including the recently refurbished Manly Pavilion Bar & Bistro, The Cove Weddings & Events, and Manly Waterworks.
Whether you’re a local or a visitor, The Espy is set to become the go-to spot to relax, enjoy delicious food and drinks, and take in the stunning views of Manly Wharf.
The Espy is open from 11am until late, 7 days a week. Keep an eye on their Instagram here for updates and specials.
