The Chalet Pop Up Bar

Bars, Drink, Sydney / 1 July 2015

Darlinghurst’s newest pop up bar, The Chalet, makes furry boots and ski masks socially acceptable clothing for a night out in Sydney.
The Chalet pop up bar, brain child of The Island’s creators (Adam Abrams and Julian Tobias) and The Lobo Plantation Bar’s (Eddie Levy and Michael Hwang) brings the Swiss Alps to the former site of The Victoria Room.
Designed like a ski lodge, equipped with a snow machine, fire pit and ornamental ski lifts, The Chalet is the perfect place to curl up with a glass of mulled wine. The windows trick you into believing you are nestled amongst the alps and looking out onto a postcard-like French village. How delightful!
One Pot Catering are handling the menu and are serving up a range of winter warming treats. From camembert balls to buttermilk chicken wings this menu will keep you here well into the night. Get giddy on their boozy hot chocolate or opt for one of their delectable cocktails. It’s time to kick back on a plush sofa, toast a marshmallow and make the most of winter.
Only set to remain until the end of September, this short term concept will make the most of Sydney’s short winter before being transformed into a new exciting long term venue in spring. No hints yet as to what their new concept is, however based on their previous creations we have high hopes!
