Sydney’s most iconic after-hours party is back from the dead.
On Saturday, 25th October, the Australian Museum transforms into a haunted house of science, sass, and supernatural fun for Jurassic Lounge: Halloween Edition, an adults-only night of spooky revelry where drag queens, DJs, and mad scientists collide under the museum’s famous whale skeleton.
This year’s Halloween spectacular promises a frightfully good mix of music, mischief, and museum magic. Expect pulsing beats from MC and DJ Aunty Jonny and Jason de Cox, a Silent Scream Disco among the taxidermy in Wild Planet, and Sydney Drag Royalty bringing their fiercest performances to the dancefloor. Science lovers can get creepy in Mortuary Makeover with the AM’s resident taxidermist, or dive into dark humour with AJ Lamarque and the Australian Museum Research Institute in Dying on Stage.
Costumes are mandatory (the more monstrous, the better), and prizes are on offer for the most imaginative looks.
