Taste the Music, Leichhardt’s free Italian food and music festival
Leichhardt’s Norton Street strip is throwing its inaugural Taste the Music festival on June 19 and 20, and it’s free. Two days of $7 Aperol spritz, window-side pizza slices, jazz trios, outdoor DJs and roving performers celebrating Sydney’s own pocket of Little Italy.
Friday June 19: Aperol spritz at Aperitivo Pizza Pasta and Capriccio Osteria, cannolis and mocktails at Moretti Ristorante, jazz at The Royal Hotel and outdoor DJs at Crosstalk Records and OTiS Bar. La Botte D’Oro is serving pizza from the window while the owner’s nonna makes fresh pasta at the door.
Saturday June 20: Coffee and biscotti at Caffe Bianchi to start, then drink specials and live music across the suburb until late. Lunetta Gelato has $10 hot brownies, and the circus performers and the Broadway musical Tootsie make their Australian debuts at Teatro at the Italian Forum.
