Taronga After Dark: Sydney’s Zoo Turns Into a Lantern-Lit Playground

Play / 26 August 2025

This October, Sydney’s most famous Zoo is coming alive after sunset with Taronga After Dark, a brand-new event running for 10 magical nights from 3rd–12th October.

Think cocktails under the stars, glowing lantern-lit trails, acoustic music and nocturnal animal encounters — all set against the glittering backdrop of Sydney Harbour. From lions and tigers to seals and mermaids (yes, really), it’s a date night with a difference — a little wild, a little whimsical, and completely unforgettable.
