Get nude for charity with Sydney Skinny 2017 event
Oh, skinny dipping. The guilty pleasure left to those who dare to strip bare, before embracing nature the way it was meant to be – completely nude, carefree and with an absolute thrill for life. Later this month, the 5th annual Sydney Skinny event will take place at Middle Head, Sydney Harbour National Park. The nude swim is not just for free spirits and nudies, but a fundraising event arranged by Foundation For National Parks & Wildlife (FNPW). These troopers need your help to raise funds for the rejuvenation and protection of this iconic Sydney Harbour National Park and the construction of a new walking track to link Sydney Harbour National Parks with the city.
Being naked in front of others is somewhat of a challenge, let alone being naked whilst floating delicately as the current takes you along the shore. However, the feeling of empowerment and emancipation is surely a rewarding adrenaline rush to you finish work your weekend. Don’t you think?
Join us at this exhilarating, liberating, and memorable day where you get to enjoy the magnificent headland and calm waters of Cobbler Beach. This short ocean swim gives promises of good health and natural eye candy – we mean the surrounding nature of course! Anyone above the age of 18 is allowed to participate in the swim. all shapes so is all shapes and sized. Shake off the body shaming, all shapes and sizes are welcome. A swim in the nude is all about being honest, alive and proud!
Sydney Skinny Event Details
When: 19th March 2017
Where: Cobblers Beach, Middle Head, Sydney Harbour National Park
Age restrictions: All participants must be over 18 years of age
Start time: Event site opens at 8am and we’ll be finishing at 3pm
Swim time: Swimmers will select the wave they want to swim in, with waves starting at 9am
Distance: 900m or 300m
Privacy: This event is a private, fully ticketed event and there are no spectators on the beach.
Before and after the event you can mingle with your friends and supporters in the ‘clothed’ festival area.
