Christmas really is the best time of the year. The smell of gingerbread and pine trees, mixed in with Michael Buble’s best-off festive album and glazed ham is enough to make anyone a little giddy. Want a sure fire means of getting into the Christmas spirit? Rally the troops and head along to one of these Christmas markets. You won’t be disappointed.
Carriageworks are no strangers to the markets scene, running weekly produce-driven events each week. This festive season they’ll be hosting a special Christmas edition, bringing together 120+ local producers and artisans on Saturday 21st December. With a focus on food and produce, you’ll find produce from the region’s best producers, plum puddings and artisan food, and gift stalls from local artists, designers and makers. Adding to this will also food themed gift stalls with unique gifting of ceramics, cookbooks, aprons and more.

Moore Park locals are getting a taste of the festive action with the next installation of the Cambridge Christmas Markets hosted at the Entertainment Quarter. Running on Sunday November 24th from 10am to 4pm, the day will see over 150 high-quality boutique stalls selling festive food, toys, homewares, fashion and more. Nab all the pressies and Christmas-themed goodies you’ll need for the festive season, with everything from wrapping paper to ornaments and even pre-order festive foods like ham, turkey, puddings and cakes ahead of the big day. You can get your hands on a variety of hot food including everything from delicious Bao buns to Sri Lankan fare and even a selection of vegan-friendly dishes. The whole family is welcome, with activities for children plus live music on offer.

This month, The Rocks Markets gets set to host its special Christmas edition. Running from 5th December right up until the 22nd December, head along and immerse yourself in an array of stalls. Explore one of Sydney’s most historic shopping districts, with market stalls along with nearby shopping destinations such as Aesop, Endota Spa and the MCA Store to ensure you don’t leave empty-handed. These markets are perfect for festive shoppers open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10am – 8pm and Sundays from 10am – 5pm.

Keep an eye out for the man in red, who is set to make an appearance at the markets, too.
