Sydney’s most ambitious week of culture, tech and creativity is back, and it’s bigger than ever.
From October 13th–19th, South by Southwest Sydney (SXSW Sydney®) will transform the city into a hub of innovation, live music, film, gaming, and ideas with over 1,600 events spanning ICC Sydney, Tumbalong Park, Chippendale, Enmore and beyond.
This year’s program brings together global icons, industry pioneers and homegrown talent across tech, entertainment, and culture. Expect powerful keynote sessions from Professor Richard Scolyer, Mo Gawdat (former Google [X]), Grammy-winner Teddy Swims, and Hollywood director Paul Feig, plus the debut of Matilda, Australia’s first large language model. From AI and space tech to indie gaming, boundary-breaking music, and red-carpet film premieres, SXSW Sydney 2025 is a weeklong collision of future-facing ideas and unforgettable experiences.
And it’s not all behind closed doors, this year’s SXSW Sydney Unlocked program offers 85+ hours of free public events, including live performances, immersive art, and outdoor experiences across Tumbalong Park and Kensington Street.
