Surfing Chefs at Bucket List Bondi

Eat, Events, Sydney / 18 March 2015

Last Wednesday more than 300 guests descended on The Bucket List in Bondi to support a charity event called Surfing Chefs. Former ASP world surfing champions Martin “Pottz” Potter and Tom Carroll teamed up with some of Australia’s top chefs. They cooked together to raise money for Surfaid.
All proceeds from the event went to benefiting SurfAid’s core mission, the improvement of the lives of people living in remote and isolated regions of Indonesia. These parts of Indonesia have very high maternity and child mortality rates. Many women die during child birth and babies often die from such easily cured ailments as diarrhea. Surfing has connected the charity to the region and a worthy mission of stamping out preventable disease has been championed.
It was a successful night indeed with abounds of excellent food and fine wine and a whopping $44,000 was raised.
