Soda Factory's 1st Birthday + New Dinner Menu

Drink, Eat, Sydney / 25 February 2014

Anyone who’s ever braved the queue to get into Soda Factory on a Friday or Saturday night will understand why this place is so popular. The retro-come-vintage inspired bar is dimly lit with exposed brick walls and vintage wooden furniture scattered across the room. In the centre is a long bar serving sweet cocktails like Sailors Mule made with Cinnamon infused blanco rum and Sweet Gal’s Blush a gin and cranberry crush combo. Then there’s a stage set up for regular DJs and a dance floor for you to shake your tail feather.
There’s always a good vibe in the air at Soda Factory so it was no surprise that the place was packed last Wednesday for the celebration of it’s first birthday. Honorary guest DJ Grandmaster Flash was flown in especially for the evening busting out old school classics mashed with modern hits.

Known for their gourmet hotdogs, Soda Factory took the occasion to launch their new full dinner menu including mac and cheese spring rolls, Texas BBQ pork ribs and veggie sliders. You have to try the cheese burger spring rolls ($9). Picture a McDonalds burger wrapped in a blanket of crispy fried pastry. You won’t find this dish in any nutrition guides but hell- we came here to par-tay! Pass me another fruity cocktail in a jam jar and get my friend a creamy alcoholic milkshake please!
