Savour Sydney: A One-Day Food and Drink Festival at Opera Bar

Eat, Events / 30 April 2025

Sydney’s culinary heavyweights are coming together for one unforgettable afternoon of food, drink, and culture at one of the city’s most iconic harbourside spots.

On Saturday 3rd May, Savour Sydney will transform Opera Bar into a buzzing alfresco festival, dishing up exclusive eats and sips from some of the state’s most celebrated restaurants and bars. Curated by renowned chef Matt Moran, and presented by hospitality group Solotel, the event celebrates the rich diversity of Australian cuisine—with a particular spotlight on native ingredients and the stories behind them.

For one day only, get a bite of signature dishes from Aria, Chiswick, Rekōdo, and North Bondi Fish, along with standout drinks from some of NSW’s most talked-about bars—PS40, The Waratah, and Hey Rosey among them. The kicker? Everything is served festival-style, with menu prices starting from just $15, giving you access to flavours usually reserved for white tablecloths and months-long waitlists.

Expect punchy, produce-driven plates like Aria’s pine mushroom and smoked cheddar tart, North Bondi Fish’s snapper crudo with yuzu and taramasalata, and Rekōdo’s crispy pork belly baos and watermelon sashimi. There’s even a cinnamon myrtle custard tart from Chiswick that’s already set to be the sweet star of the day.

One of the most exciting parts of the festival is its partnership with IndigiGrow—a First Nations-owned social enterprise championing the use of native plants in food and everyday life. Almost every dish and drink at Savour Sydney features native Australian botanicals, from lemon myrtle to saltbush and finger lime, infusing each bite with a deeper connection to Country and culture.

Your $50 ticket includes four dishes from a ticketholder-exclusive menu plus a welcome drink, but you can also wander the stalls and purchase individual items from the general menu. With live music from local artists and a sunny harbour backdrop, Savour Sydney promises to be more than just a festival—it’s a true celebration of who we are through food and drink.

This is a one-day-only event, so if you’ve ever dreamed of trying some of Sydney’s most acclaimed venues all in one go—with native ingredients, stunning views, and a drink in hand—this is your chance. Tickets can be purchased here.
