High-speed foiling, sunset skies, and Sydney Harbour at its most spectacular.
For the first time, SailGP is turning down the lights and turning up the drama. When the KPMG Sydney Sail Grand Prix returns on 28th February–1st March 2026, it will introduce a brand-new twilight racing format, transforming Australia’s most iconic harbour into a golden-hour arena for one of the world’s most electrifying sporting events.
Now in its record-seventh year in Sydney, the event will see the largest fleet in SailGP history go head-to-head in identical foiling catamarans, racing just metres from the shoreline as the sun sets behind the city skyline.
As SailGP’s longest-running stop, the Sydney leg delivers an immersive, choose-your-own-adventure experience for spectators. With fan experiences including Official Spectator Boats fully sold out, remaining options – including Waterfront Premium on Shark Island – still offer exceptional access to the heart of the action, complete with live commentary, harbour views and festival atmosphere. Add world-class onshore entertainment and the chance to cheer on home heroes the BONDS Flying Roos, and you’ve got a weekend that sits somewhere between elite sport and harbour-side party.
