Ruma Arte Bianca Lands in Double Bay

Eat / 1 July 2025

Welcome to Ruma Arte Bianca, where your morning matcha meets your evening margherita.

This Double Bay venue is more than a new café or pizzeria; it’s two venues rolled into one beautifully curated space. By day, Ruma plates up vibrant brunch dishes with Italian-Asian flair, and by night, Arte Bianca fires up the wood oven to deliver pizza and pasta.

A clever collaboration between long-time friends and respected hospo figures, Chef Faheem Noor (Ruma) and Mark Paterno (Arte Bianca), this dual venue is rethinking how we dine. It’s part elegant all-day café, part moody Italian trattoria, seamlessly evolving with the sun. Think pistachio mortadella sandwiches by morning and woodfired wagyu bresaola pizza by night, all served under the glow of fairy lights and beside a 40-year-old olive tree.

What to Eat: Start with house-made Italian cannoli or go big with Arte Bianca’s signature margherita with buffalo mozzarella and basil oil.

What to Drink: Sip on a cloud matcha latte by day or a Negroni Sbagliato with blood orange at night.

When to Go: Catch up with friends over brunch, or settle in for a Friday night pasta session with a bottle of Barbera.

Cost: Mains from ~$24

Where to Play After: Take a post-dinner stroll through Guilfoyle Park or grab a nightcap at Mrs Sippy around the corner.

Vibe Check: A sunlit café by day, an ambient trattoria by night.

Book It: Reservations via ruma.sydney or call for groups of 3–4 at the counter.
