Can you smell it? The Aroma Festival is back!
This July the smell of freshly roasted coffee will waft through The Rocks once again for the 19th annual Aroma Festival. Whether you enjoy an occasional cup of joe with breakfast, or you take your coffee with your oxygen, there’s something for everyone at this coffee-lovers festival.
For two weeks leading up to the event, the Australian Specialty Coffee Association will be hosting a series of intimate workshops which will have you roasting like a pro. Last years Aroma Festival saw over 100,000 coffee lovers buzz through The Rocks, so events will sell out quickly. The Latte Art and Home Barista Skills workshops are pinned as this years favourites, so grab your tickets as your morning buzz kicks in.
The Aroma Festival itself takes place on Sunday July 24, and will see the roads of the historic area blocked off for the caffeine-loving crowds. This year will see over 60 boutique coffee, tea and gourmet food stalls lining the roads, as well as food trucks, art markets, live music, demonstrations and giveaways.
Make sure you take a ring-side seat for the ‘Latte Art Smackdown’ which will see a battle of the baristas take place for a prize title. And if you feel like rounding your weekend off with a Sunday session, an Aroma Brew Bar will be serving up Mr. Black artisan coffee liqueur cocktails and coffee infused beer.
