Serving up rice burgers and matcha chocolate shakes.

Forget everything you thought you knew about fast food! There’s a new contender at Bondi Junction, flipping the script on the traditional burger offering. Ri Ri Japanese Hanbaga serves up a modern Japanese fusion experience, where rice patties replace buns and bold, umami-rich flavours take centre stage.

The restaurant’s name Ri Ri Hanbaga is a play on two Japanese words: ‘Ri’ symbolising the heartiness of their rice patties, and another ‘Ri’ embracing the essence of nori. On the menu is their signature rice burgers, a twist to the traditional Aussie style buns. Their rice burgers are made fresh daily with crispy, hot rice and a variety of fillings taken from authentic Japanese flavours & European flavours. Try their Karaage Chicken Burger with Gouda Cheese, Salmon Sashimi Burger, Soft Shell Crab Katsu Burger and Ratatouille Croquette Burger for vegetarians. To pair with your burger, order Ri Ri’s Matcha White Chocolate Shake, or if you’re craving something heavier, their Miso Biscoff Shake.

Ri Ri isn’t just about their rice burgers. They also serve up a delicious selection of udon noodle dishes, rice bowls, and creative Japanese sides, all at incredibly affordable prices, from just $5. If you’re looking for an even better deal, their $19.90 set menu is a steal. Enjoy a satisfying rice or udon bowl, crispy okonomiyaki fries, and a refreshing soft drink – the perfect combination for a delicious and budget-friendly meal.

Ri Ri is open from Monday to Tuesday from 11:30 am – 8 pm and Wednesday to Saturday from 11:30 am – 9 pm. For more information, visit their website here.
