Break a sweat to a bangin’ 80s playlist at Retrosweat’s freestyle aerobic workout, coming to the heart of the inner west.
Working out is usually an exercise of efficiency. It’s racing to the gym after work, smash out a quick session and getting your heart rate up as fast as you can so you can hit the showers. For most of us, the highlight of it all is putting on a great playlist to make the endless reps and runs on the treadmill that little bit easier. But if you’re looking to shake up your fitness routine this year, we’ve found just the workout experience for you.
Retrosweat has taken Sydney by storm in recent years, bringing punters fun, aerobic-style workouts set to an epic playlist of 80s hits. Run by Shannon Dooley, this retro-inspired workout is the perfect way to boost your fitness while having an absolute blast, with attendees encouraged to look the part by dressing up in 80s-inspired workout gear (think fluro bodysuits, white sneakers, sweatbands and more).
The workout itself runs for 60 minutes, designed to suit all fitness levels (even those who’ve never hit the gym before) with classes bringing a strong party vibe. Simply bring along a water bottle and towel and get ready to groove along to an unmissable line-up of 80s tracks that will help you forgot you’re breaking a sweat.
In great news, Retrosweat has just announced they will now be running classes in the heart of the Inner West at Scout Pilates. The newly opened pilates studio on King Street are renowned for their full-body conditioning mat and reformer classes, along with yoga sessions to help students find their flow.
Retrosweat at Scout Pilates kicks off on Wednesday, January 15th at 7pm. Class passes can be purchased online, with a special 3 week unlimited pass for $47 available until the end of January. To find out more, click here.
