Wine. Beer. Food. Art. Welcome To The 10th Anniversary Of Pyrmont Festival

Drink, Festivals, Play / 16 May 2022

The 21 day festival kicks off with the pinnacle of foodie events overlooking Sydney Harbour from Pyrmont’s Pirrama Park.

For a tenth year, Pyrmont Festival will bring together the very best food, wine and art offerings to celebrate NSW’s vibrant culinary culture. Spearheading the 21 day festival is the return of the family-friendly, two-day highlight event in Pirrama Park on 28 and 29 May.

With all the delight of a cellar door tasting tour, without the travel, sip your way through award-winning wines while setting up the picnic blanket for unrivaled views of iconic Sydney Harbour.

Enjoy tastings from Slow Wine Co, Tamburlaine Organic Wines, Rowlee Wines, Swinging Bridge and many more who will each bring their own distinct growing and fermentation processes resulting in an exceptional range of varieties for all palates.

Wine isn’t the only libation on offer, hopheads can enjoy pale ales, hoppy IPAs and seasonal brews from award-winning breweries. And if you’re craving a little fire in your belly to warm you up as the weather cools down, you can indulge in a selection of hand-crafted cocktails from Discerning Drinks Co, Buffalo Vale Distillery and Brookie’s Byron Gin to name a few.

The food offering will see guests eat their way through the state, sampling artisanal produce and feasting from food truck favourites like Lucio’s Pizzeria, Piggy & Moo and Let’s Do Yum Cha. If you prefer a little bit of everything, why not organise a gourmet picnic platter by the water, sampling cheese from the Vanella Cheese stand, olives from The Really Stuffed Olive Co, and salami from Goose on the Loose.

While you’re enjoying bottomless wine from Australia’s favourite wineries, the kids can run rampant at the Kid Zone equipped with a jumping castle, face painting and fairy floss. There’ll also be a full lineup of live music and things to do, for the whole family to enjoy.

Pyrmont festival will continue to celebrate all things food & wine through a curated ongoing program until 18 June with a bucketload of classes and courses to help you realise your foodie dreams.

Learn how to handle live Mud Crabs, get the most out of traditional spices, and how to use a wok like an expert at a Singapore Chili Mud Crab Cooking Class. Get confidence with your wine picks as you discern the difference between a Barossa and McLaren Vale as part of a course Exploring Australian Shiraz.
