Potts Point’s Newest Basement Bar: Jude’s

/ 17 May 2026

Sydney’s late-night scene just got a serious upgrade with Jude’s, a 30-seat basement bar bringing Studio 54 glamour to Potts Point.

Descend the stairs off Bayswater Road and step into a dimly-lit space where curved mirrored walls, velvet lounge chairs and a spinning disco ball set the scene for retro-inspired cocktails and classic tunes.

British mixologist Danny Renwick, who worked at Michelin-star restaurant House of Tides in the UK, is bringing Matthew Cridge’s immersive cocktail list to life. The signature Hey Jude balances Belvedere vodka, lychee, lemon and chilli for a modern take that’s part lychee martini, part spicy margarita. The Vesper Blush adds theatrical flair with liquid nitrogen chilling premium Tanqueray gin, Grey Goose vodka and Lillet Rosé.

Pair your drinks with truffle fries, baked camembert with hot honey, or battered artichoke hearts with nduja aioli. Jude’s is open 5pm until late, Thursday to Saturday, walk-ins only.
