Wine lovers, it’s time to start planning your itinerary with the return of the Orange Wine Festival.
One of Australia’s top regional culinary events, the Orange Wine Festival, returns in 2018 and is set to be more jam packed with epic food and wine experiences than ever before. Be sure to pencil 12-21 October into the diary, with the ten day event showcasing the region’s huge range of cool climate wines, local produce and restaurants.
Returning in 2018 is the highly popular Vino Express. First launching in 2016, this three day Sydney-to-Orange return journey involves two huge days and two big nights of sips and nibbles. Departing from Sydney’s Central Station across two weekends, 12-14 October and 19-21 October, the fun starts the moment you board the dedicated festival train carriage, with wine tastings hosted by a local wine maker.
Once in Orange, you’re in for a food and drinks extravaganza. The Vino Express itinerary features everything from private cellar door tours to wine tastings, masterclasses, café breakfasts, long lunches and fine-dining experiences throughout Orange. Your ticket also includes access to the festival’s signature events and overnight accommodation, all from $897 per person.
“While every week is food and wine week in Orange, experiencing the region’s amazing wines, produce and dining surrounded by the buzz and excitement of the Orange Wine Festival is an opportunity not to miss” said Justin Jarrett, president of the Orange Region Vignerons Association and owner of See Saw Wines.
Now in its 13th year, the Orange Wine Festival sees more than 80 vineyards and 30 cellar doors brought together. With experiences ranging from Wine in the Wines, to the Orange Wine Show tasting event, the Festival Night Market, along with more than 90 events, this is an event not to be missed.
