Opera Bar is turning up the heat (and bringing the chill) for Vivid Sydney 2025 with nightly live music, winter-warming cocktails, and a gelato collab that’s pure eye-candy.

Running from Thursday 23rd May to Friday 14th June, the harbourside venue is offering one of the city’s best vantage points to catch the Vivid lights—right between the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Expect a festive, walk-in-only setup with DJs and live bands from Thursday to Sunday, plus a limited-edition food and drink menu designed for crisp nights and big views.

The hero of the season? A sweet new partnership with Inner West cult gelateria Ciccone & Sons. Together they’ve created a Vivid-exclusive raspberry gelato, dipped in white chocolate and macadamia crunch ($12). It’s punchy, photogenic, and just the right amount of indulgent.

Drinks-wise, Opera Bar’s bartenders are shaking and stirring a trio of special cocktails that lean into Vivid’s glow-up energy—with bold flavours and a nod to fireside warmth. Highlights include:

The Warm and Spicy, blending Bacardi Spiced with salted caramel, lime, and Brookvale Union Ginger Beer;
The Angel’s Share, with Angel’s Envy bourbon, Amaro Averna, maple, and cold brew;
And the Pinã Cortada, made with Bacardi 8, Planteray Pineapple rum, lime, and a spiced coconut foam finish.
