Ah, that view. There’s nothing quite like it of an evening – pre/post theatre, wandering around the Opera House Forecourt. Perhaps you ‘re strolling with a lover. Perhaps you’re giggling with girlfriends. Perhaps you’re enjoying quality time with the family.
Whatever the occasion, Opera Bar always seems to excel at making it a night to remember.
The launch of their new Spring Menu was no exception. For one evening, their outside area was transformed into a verdant garden of hanging ferns, glimmering butterflies and adorned wait-staff.
Cute stands and stalls dotted the garden, with an oyster bar a definite hit for the numerous guests.
The drinks list reflected the newly featured beverages of the Opera bar, with fizzing glasses of Mumm and cold bottles of Pure Blonde floating around for the entire evening.
Hendricks was also given a feature, with one of the skilled mixologists concocting a lavender and blueberry cocktail that was truly superb!
But if you can tear yourself away from the drinks list, it’s well worth ordering some food!
Other canapés circulated – the Western Australian scampi ceviche with finger limes, chilli and chives being a particular favourite.
We loved the slider!
The charcuterie selection was very extensive, with a large range of cured meats, salumis and pickles available.
And to all the vegetarians – fret not! Their cheese board is equally as enticing.
Opera Bar outdid themselves with the cutest little sweet stand for their event – how could you resist?! (we didn’t)
All in all, the new Spring menu from Matt Moran at the Opera Bar is well worth a try. Soak up Sydney’s harbourside views and enjoy the talented creations from the stellar Opera Bar staff.
