Victoria Bitter One Day International Series

Play, Sydney / 11 January 2017

The One Day International Series is the ultimate adult dress up party this summer.

Attending the One Day International Series is about as about as Aussie as it gets. On a typically stiflingly hot summer’s day, thousands of fans flood the grounds. Tickets in hand, they eagerly await a day of great cricket, cold beers and some good old patriotism. It also makes for one awesome dress up party.
In Sydney, you just have to stroll down the streets of Moore Park to find streams of people wearing matching egg and bacon costumes, banana suits and Warney inspired attire. Sure, people are there to watch the cricket. Those less sport inclined (yours truly) are also warmly encouraged to make their way down for the good vibes, summer beers and the ultimate summer costume party.

In need of further motivation? Just for dressing up, you could win you the ultimate prize of an economy round the world ticket for two! If you don’t win the big prize, don’t fret. Entering also puts you in the draw to win a seat upgrade at the match, putting you in the best viewing spot for the day.
If you’re in need of some dress up inspiration, popular categories include super heroes, cartoon characters, movie stars and cricket legends. Remember to keep it fun! Entries can’t contain any content that is obscene, profane, lewd, defamatory, objectionable or that promote a brand that is not a Cricket Australia sponsor.
The Australia vs. Pakistan one day series will be kicking off at the Gabba on 13th January. It’s from there that both teams will travel to Melbourne’s MCG on 15th January, followed by the WACA in Perth on 19th January. Sydney siders will have to wait a little longer, with the one day series commencing at the SCG on 22nd January. Things will finish up in Adelaide on 26th January at Adelaide Oval.
So how do you enter?
On the day, take a pic of you and your friends or family in your best dress costumes. Once you’ve snapped your selfie, add #odidressup and share to Twitter or Instagram with the hastag #ODIdressup.
