Spring has truly arrived in Sydney! Discover the perfect drinks to sip on as we transition from winter to summer.

The team tried and tested a range of drinks over the past few weeks. From refreshing cocktails to bold and complex wines, here are our top picks for October!

Shuck Yeah! Hickson House releases Oyster Shell Gin, transporting you to the Australian coastline with every sip.

We had the pleasure of attending the launch of Hickson House’s latest creation, their small-batch Oyster Shell Gin. It was an exceptional experience, featuring a range of cocktails showcasing this unique gin. Inspired by the Australian coastline, the gin is infused with seaweed, tarragon, native finger lime, ruby grapefruit, and crushed Sydney Rock Oyster shells. The addition of oyster shells gives the gin a creamy texture, enhancing its smoothness.

Perfect for a classic martini or a refreshing gin&tonic, just in time for the warmer weather!

Price: $88/bottle.

The Explorers Series 15-Year-Old Japanese Edition Irish Whiskey

I’ve been a whiskey drinker for years, but Teeling’s Explorers Series 15-Year-Old Japanese Edition is something else. It’s like they took all the good parts of Irish whiskey and added a touch of Japanese magic. The first sip was a revelation for me – I tasted notes of toasted barley with a hint of lychee. It’s the kind of whiskey that makes you sit back and savour every sip. If you’re looking for something truly unique this October, this is it.
