This limited-time menu pays homage to beloved British classics, reimagined through the lens of modern fine dining by acclaimed chef Nelly Robinson.
NEL Restaurant’s famed Great British menu is back, running from Wednesday, June 18th to Saturday, September 6th, and it’s more inventive, nostalgic and heartwarming than ever. Tucked away in the basement of a Surry Hills warehouse, the fine diner from British-born chef Nelly Robinson invites guests to step into a culinary time machine, where the humble dishes of the UK are reborn with Australian produce, cutting-edge technique, and a sense of playful reverence.
Think scones, crumbles and hotpots, but not as you know them. For Robinson, who’s cooked everywhere from Michelin-starred kitchens to the Sydney spotlight, this menu is deeply personal. “It’s a chance to showcase the food I grew up with, in a completely new light,” he says. And yes, it includes a side of British humour.
