Praise Cheezus! Mould, a festival dedicated to all things cheesy is landing in Melbourne.
Back by popular demand, Mould, the festival dedicated to all things stinky, gooey and a little bit funky, is returning to Melbourne in August.
Presented by REVEL (the team behind Pinot Palooza) in collaboration with award-winning Milk. Made author and cheesemaker Nick Haddow of Bruny Island Cheese Co, the two-day event is giving lovers of all things cheese the chance to talk to some of Australia’s top artisan producers and sample their cheeses.
Hosted at the Meat Market in North Melbourne on 16th & 17th August, you can also expect the return of a series of bonus demonstrations, conversations and masterclasses.
Cheese aficionados can expect big names in the world of fromage, with over 60 cheeses to sample from 15 producers including Bruny Island Cheese Co., Yarra Valley Dairy, Shaw River Buffalo Cheese, Grandvewe Cheeses and Stone & Crowe.
Alongside the best Australian cheeses, punters can also expect a range of cheesy dishes, alongside vendors selling breads and burgers, with a full food program to be released closer to the day.
What makes an ideal pairing with cheese, you might ask? Wine, naturally. Over the course of the weekend you can expect flowing wines, plus whisky, beer and cider. Everything at the bar will be perfectly matched to the tastings.
