Magnus has built a reputation as the Shazam for the art world. From art lovers to novices, the New York based App is a free service aimed at making art more accessible. Created by 31-year-old German art fiend Magnus Resch, at of the end of last year, the App had a database of over 8 million artworks.

Working Magnus is as easy as taking a photo of the artwork in question. Then the App does the rest of the work. Drawing from its abundance of crowd sourced information, the App gives you the knowledge about the artwork at your fingertips.
In addition to providing a biography about the artist, Magnus lets you dive into the world of art around you, leading you to the trendiest galleries and exhibitions. The App will also render your photo, making it worthy of an Instagram upload. Finally, have you ever wanted to know how much the Mona Lisa would set you back? Well, with this App you can finally know the price of artworks both historic and new-age.
