Raise a Glass to Beaujolais: Love, Tilly Devine’s Announce Next Next Takeover With Yohan Lardy

Drink / 11 June 2025

Following a sold-out month celebrating Coravin’s World Wine Tour, Love, Tilly Devine is keeping the good times (and great wines) flowing with its next Tilly Takeover:

Beaujolais Night with Yohan Lardy. On Wednesday, July 2nd, the Darlinghurst laneway wine bar will shine a spotlight on one of France’s most exciting winemakers, pairing Lardy’s vibrant, expressive wines with a special one-night-only terrine from the team at sister venue Letra House.

Yohan Lardy, a fifth-generation winemaker farming ancient Gamay vines in Beaujolais, is known for his low-intervention approach and hand-harvested micro-plots in Fleurie, Moulin-à-Vent and Chénas. This is a rare chance to sip his now critically acclaimed cuvées, including the 110-year-old vine Les Michelons by the glass, bottle, or as part of a $50 three-wine flight. From 6pm, it’s all about good wine, good snacks, and good company, with Love Tilly Devine’s full menu also running on the night. Oh, and don’t miss their golden hour: happy hour kicks off at 5pm with $4 gildas to get things started.

What to Eat: Pork and duck terrine with sourdough and pickles.

What to Drink: Moulin-à-Vent ‘Les Michelons’ – structured, juicy, and made from vines over 100 years old.

When to Go: Wednesday July 2nd..

Cost: Wine flight of three Beaujolais crus for $50; snacks from the usual menu priced to share.

Where to Play After: Head next door to Big Poppa’s for late-night beats and burrata.

Vibe Check: Intimate, low-lit laneway bar with encyclopaedic wine knowledge and zero snobbery.
