Lost Picnic is back, offering the ultimate boutique festival for foodies.
Bringing the glorious spring vibes to The Domain this year is the return of Lost Picnic, Sydney’s very own bohemian outdoor music experience. If you’ve been in previous years, you’ll be familiar with the stellar music line up, teamed with tasty picnic fare and beverages to keep you feeling refreshed all afternoon.
As for the 2018 music line up, locally grown female powerhouse Tash Sultana will be fronting the main stage. She’ll be accompanied by the oh-so-talented Meg Mac, Marion Williams, Odette, Sons of the East plus more.
This year Melbournians are also given a taste of the boutique festival action, the VIC leg kicking off on 7th October at Flemington Nursery. It’s followed by the Sydney event on 13th October at the iconic Domain.
Working in collaboration with some of Australia’s finest chefs, you can expect picnic-inspired eats from the likes of The Dolphin, Rocker and Milky Lane in Sydney and Pho Nom and Burn City Smokers in Melbourne. Feel like saving a few extra dollars on the day? This year, you can also bring along your own picnic snacks, with an extended bar ensuring speed of service.
In this year’s festivities, you can also expect plenty of theatrical and artistic flare, with face painters, clowns, old school games like badminton, sack races and tug of war, plus bouncing castles for the youngest Lost Picnic attendees.
Originally launching in 2014 by founders Simon Beckingham and Wade Cawood of Finely Tuned, Lost Picnic aimed to stand apart from the typical music festival scene, providing an entirely unique entertainment experience in Sydney. This year’s festival sees significant operational changes introduced, including increased food offerings and an increase in the number of bar staff to minimise queues and maximise time spent dancing.
