Review: Locale Has Taken Place Of Pilgrims In Bronte

Cafes, Eat, Sydney / 2 August 2022

There’s a newcomer to the Bronte food scene… Let us introduce you to Locale! Located close to the Woolies in the heart of Bronte, this breezy new food spot is open for all-day dining.

The space itself is very contemporary with big open windows out onto the street where they also offer some outdoor seating. There is a large communal table as well as tables for smaller groups all leading back to a coffee station serving up some freshly ground roasts by Pablo & Rusty.

Their reasonably priced menu has all of the usual classics to offer for breakfast and lunch. For breakfast, choose from the savoury classics such as Turkish Eggs: Sourdough with poached eggs, king mushrooms, dill yoghurt and chilli butter oil ($20). You can even add on fresh shaved black truffle for $6.

Or if you’re feeling like a sweet treat, it would be hard to look past the Buttermilk Pancakes: pancakes with shrikhand yoghurt, pistachio crunch, berries, pashmak & maple syrup ($19).

Heading there for lunch? You’ll be covered with a range of easy options such as the Southern Chicken Burget ($18) or the Prawn Linguini with heirloom tomatoes ($36).

They’ve also got a range of freshly baked treats such as carrot cake if you’re on the fly and wanting a sweet snack.

So the next time you’re looking for a casual bite on the way to the beach in Bronte, check out Locale for some easy and satiating all-day dining!
