Check In to a Night of Decadence, Desire & Dazzling Cabaret as L’Hôtel Returns to Sydney

/ 21 May 2025

What do you get when you combine French champagne, burlesque, and velvet-draped mystery? A night at L’Hôtel, the city’s most seductive theatrical experience— L’Hôtel.

From May 24th to July 6th, the doors swing open at The Foundry Theatre, transformed into a smoky, sultry cabaret playground for the highly anticipated return of L’Hôtel—a five-star feast of theatre and dance that feels like a long-lost weekend in Montmartre.

More than just a show, L’Hôtel blurs the line between performance and experience. Set in a moody, Parisian-style hotel, the 75-minute production features a rotating cast of dancers, acrobats, and vocalists—each playing a role in the hotel’s story of desire, indulgence, and secrets behind closed doors.

John Waters (Offspring, All Saints) reprises his role as the hotelier—a man tied to the past, haunted by memory and romance. The narrative is light, but the atmosphere is immersive, thanks to co-creators Craig Ilott (director) and Stuart Couzens (designer), who transform the theatre into a space that feels part film set, part late-night lounge.

For those looking to elevate the experience, VIP packages include a glass of French champagne, a curated cheese board, and a table-side éclair delivered during the performance—ideal for date night or small groups.

While L’Hôtel plays with sensuality and spectacle, it’s all backed by sharp production and a standout soundtrack. The show balances elegance with edge, leaning into cabaret tradition while keeping things modern and fast-paced. Get tickets here.
