La Boheme on Sydney Harbour

Cool Sh*t, Play, Sydney / 28 March 2018

La Boheme Opera heads to Sydney harbour with a floating pop-up stage. This is an experience you won’t want to miss.

One things for certain, this is no ordinary night at the opera. La Boheme is the latest live performance by Handa Opera to arrive to Sydney Harbour, an expression of the original bohemian love story. This huge production sees a floating stage on the water by Mrs Macquarie’s Chair. Guests are seated in a pop-up seating arena for the incredible 2.5 hour performance.
Without giving too much away, La Boheme is set in Paris and tells the story of a poor writer who falls deeply in love with a frail but beautiful seamstress. Over the course of the show, the story unfolds, guiding the crowd through the highs and lows of love and relationships. La Boheme is sung solely in Italian with English subtitles printed on subtle screens.
The show runs from 28th March to 28th April, giving punters plenty of time to get a piece of the action. As for the tickets, prices range from $99 to $348. Those looking to amplify their experience can add a food and beverage package including a dessert plate of petit fours, paired with a glass of Tyrrell’s sparkling wine. French food including pomme frites, French onion soup and French cheese boards are available for purchase on the night.
For the full dinner and show experience, guests can also opt for the pre-dinner package for $245pp. Indulge in three courses of  French food, designed and prepared by the Platinum Club’s award-winning chefs. Each course also comes matched with premium Tyrrell’s Wines.
