Kyoto-born ramen brand Moon & Back is landing at Saké The Rocks for one week only, marking the first time the cult favourite has served its signature bowls outside Japan.
While you might know their Rosebery café, it doesn’t actually serve ramen, making this a rare chance to try what’s been drawing crowds in Kyoto, Osaka and Kobe.
Osaka-born chef Tatsuya Fukuda is bringing five signature ramen styles, including a standout grilled Japanese wagyu sukiyaki-style ramen that’s worth the visit alone. You can grab bowls at the bar for walk-ins at $38 each, or go all in with the seven-course omakase at the chef’s counter for $125pp, featuring smaller portions of the wagyu and teriyaki chicken ramen alongside sushi, snacks and yuzu sorbet.
The pop-up runs from February 23rd to March 1st for lunch and dinner, operating alongside Saké’s regular menu. It’s a brief window to experience Japan-only ramen in The Rocks.
