Knox Street Bar

Bars, Drink, Sydney / 25 March 2015

Knox Street Bar is a fresh change to the boring pubs and uni bars that have been the hallmark of the Chippendale drinking scene.
In the last couple of years Chippendale has changed, the small bar scene is growing.
Knox Street Bar is a beacon of bar-land optimism. Situated on you guessed it Knox Street, it epitomises the burgeoning small bar scene in the inner west.
The bar is cosy with low ceilings and large couches making you feel as though you’re in a modern day cave. It’s a space that inspires close, intimate conversations with full view of the cocktail maestro’s working their magic.
An expansive list of boutique craft beer and reasonably priced cocktails (from $10 a pop) awaits your discovery. They even have a spinning wheel of cocktails. Give it a whirl and whatever it lands on will cost your $13, even the $20 Golden Boy cocktail!
The Drum Room is the performance space within the bar that has hosted musical acts including Macnaught, Matty Took and Tom Peppitt as well a magician and burlesque for good measure.
Knox Street Bar are giving the midweek blues a bit of a shake up with their After Work Disco. Brown Bear and Disco Romantico DJ’s are on the tables serving up the best disco funk and soul from knockoff till bedtime. It ends at 10pm, lets not get too crazy now, it is a school night!
