Sydney’s most theatrical bar dives headfirst into magic, myth, and viral fiction.
Kensington Street’s Gin Lane has shapeshifted once more, this time into a realm of prophecy, potions and pure BookTok escapism. The heritage-listed terrace has launched an immersive Tales & Tonics pop-up, inspired by the fantasy universes currently dominating Gen Z and millennial reading lists.
The limited-edition activation runs until late December and reimagines fan-favourite fictional worlds through a transportive drinks list and a one-of-a-kind Seer’s Table. Guests can have their tarot read upon arrival, unlocking which mythical realm, and which cocktail their energy aligns with, before stepping into a candlelit space infused with whimsy and world-building. Founder and drinks magician Grant Collins brings his trademark theatrical touch, delivering a standout menu.
