Floating Cinema is returning to Sydney Harbour this spring

Events, Play, Sydney / 11 September 2019

Settle into a screening of your favourite flick on the top deck of a cruise ship with the return of the Floating Cinema.

As we inch closer towards the warmer months, it’s time to ditch the conventional cinema and soak up Sydney’s weather in all of its glory, with the return of Sydney Harbour’s Floating Cinema.

Returning for a second season, now is your chance to watch a cult classic under the stars, on the top deck of a boat after a cruise around Sydney Harbour. With screenings kicking off on Wednesday 30th October and running through until February 2020, now’s the time to rally your fellow movie buffs and catch a flick on Sydney’s stunning harbour foreshore.

Kickstarting the 2019 program is 1999 supernatural horror, Sixth Sense. It follows on in a similar vain with The Blair Witch Project on Thursday 31st October.

To put you in the festive spirit ahead of the silly season, next you can expect the likes of Jingle All The Way (3rd Dec) followed on by Elf (4th Dec).

With only 150 tickets per screening available, you’ll want to grab them while you can. First release tickets are $40 + bf and includes entry onto the boat for the cruise and your movie.

It wouldn’t be a proper cinematic experience without movie snacks, and thankfully Floating Cinema have got this covered, with popcorn and chocolates available for purchase onboard the boat. A full bar with alcoholic beverages and soft drinks will also be open.
