Flight Club Newtown, social darts and serious good times on King Street
Flight Club Newtown opens June 12 on King Street, taking over the former Sandringham Hotel with an $8 million transformation. The two-storey heritage building is now a 400-person vintage fairground, with private darts oches, table-service cocktails, and a Trophy Cocktail served in an actual trophy.
You’re in for some fun social darts for groups of two to twelve, with patented dart-tracking technology handling the scoring across a range of multiplayer games. No experience needed, and no need to keep score yourself. Food and drinks arrive by table service directly to your oche, running from pizza paddles and popcorn chicken to sticky pork belly and loaded fries. The cocktail list covers classics, the signature Trophy Cocktail, craft beers, and premium spirits. There’s also an outdoor courtyard for between-game debriefs.
Quick Bites:
- EAT: Pizza paddles and sticky pork belly bites. Order both.
- DRINK: The Trophy Cocktail. Served in an actual trophy. Obviously.
- PLAY: Book an oche. Groups of two to twelve, and they go fast.
