Fabbrica Darlinghurst is teaming up with one of Sydney’s most beloved cheesemongers for a one-night-only dining experience dedicated to artisanal cheese and handmade pasta.

On the 1st and 2nd of April, Penny’s Cheese Shop and Fabbrica Darlo will collaborate on an exclusive set-menu event, showcasing some of the finest cheeses selected by Penny Lawson herself.

Lawson, the founder of Penny’s Cheese Shop in Potts Point, has built a reputation for championing Australian producers and curating an impressive selection of cheeses from around the world. Over the past year, she has collaborated with Love Tilly Group’s Group Executive Chef Scott McComas-Williams and Fabbrica Head Chef Damiano Balducci on a series of pasta and gnocchi specials featuring standout cheeses from her shop. Following the success of these dishes, the team is taking the partnership to the next level with a full tasting menu.

The eight-course menu ($90 per person) will highlight the versatility of Lawson’s top picks, with dishes including Zucchini Flowers with Jannei Fresh Goat Curd and hot honey, Gnocchi with Milawa King River Gold, and hand-rolled Ravioli with Berry’s Creek Oak Blue, pear, and brown butter. For dessert, guests can expect a Pecora Dairy Ewe’s Curd cheesecake. A curated wine pairing ($60) will be available, hand-selected by Fabbrica’s Beverage Manager, Jade Febvre.

“This is one of the most exciting events for us this year,” says McComas-Williams. “We’re bringing together Penny’s incredible cheeses, our handmade pasta, and the local community to create something really special.” Lawson adds, “Scott and Damiano’s passion for seasonal cheese and local producers makes this collaboration such a natural fit. I can’t wait to see what they create on the night.”
