Latin glamour has arrived at Circular Quay.
El Vista is the latest harbour front destination from Table For and The Maybe Group. It brings the golden-era spirit of 1960s Acapulco to Sydney. As a result, sweeping water views and a polished, retro-inflected fit-out have quickly made it one of Circular Quay’s most talked-about new openings.
In the kitchen, celebrated chef Giovanni Pilu focuses on refined, share-friendly Latin plates. The menu draws on flavours from Mexico and South America, including bright aguachile, crispy yellowfin tuna tacos and golden cheese empanadas. Meanwhile, the cocktail list leans into Margaritas, Daiquiris and reimagined Coladas. As the sun sets, jazz gives way to late-night DJ sets, lifting the energy across the room.
Come early for golden-hour drinks as the harbour lights up. Then stay late as the music builds and the night unfolds. Overall, this is a place for long conversations, slow sips and unhurried evenings. If summer drinks by the water are calling, El Vista belongs at the top of the list.
