Click your heels three times if you’re looking for a brand-new immersive theatre adventure with an escape room twist.
Dorothy in Oz: An Immersive Cocktail Adventure will enjoy its world premiere as part of the 2025 Sydney Fringe, running from 3rd to 28th September at Marrickville Town Hall.
Created by A.K. Wregg, the mind behind international hits The Alice: An Immersive Cocktail Adventure, The Wizard’s Den and The Art of Murder, this experience places you at the heart of a reimagined Oz story. Guests will first step into the Kansas Bar before being swept away by a twister and dropped into Princess Ozma’s birthday party. There, as one of just thirty guests, you’ll solve puzzles, meet colourful characters including the Tinman, Glinda and the wicked Mombi, and even create your own bespoke cocktail (or potion for kids’ sessions).
Quick Bites
What to Eat: Expect Kansas Bar snacks to fuel your adventure before the twister strikes.
What to Drink: Your very own bespoke cocktail (or kids’ potion) inspired by the world of Oz.
When to Go: Between 3rd–28th September; matinee sessions are perfect for families, evenings for the adults.
Cost: Tickets from $40–$65.
Where to Play After: Wander through Marrickville’s buzzing bar scene or grab a late-night bite on Marrickville Road.
