Artarmon welcomes Depot Brewery, a 250-seater venue designed to be Sydney’s “Good Times HQ.”

A nod to its heritage, Depot Brewery takes its name from the local council depot next door. Cradle Design brought the space to life with a careful balance of modern and industrial aesthetics—think exposed brick, open rafters, and a luxe bar set-up. Anchoring the room are six towering 3000L fermenters, a clear signal that at Depot Brewery, the beer is brewed in-house and taken seriously. And for sports lovers, large-screen TVs ensure you won’t miss a moment of the action.

The venue is the brainchild of award-winning brewers Ady Fitter and Ian Roxburgh, whose expertise has resulted in an impressive line-up of brews. Whether you’re after an “Ultra Crisp” mid-strength lager, a fruity “Pacific Pale” Ale, or a balanced and bold IPA, there’s something for every palate. And with an ever-changing rotation of nine other taps, there’s plenty to explore.

When hunger strikes, Chef Will Baldwin’s menu has you covered. With a career that spans 15 years across venues like The Butler, Bopp & Tone, and The Botanist, Baldwin knows how to craft dishes that satisfy. The menu includes elevated pub classics like the Depot Double Cheeseburger, a Chicken Caesar Salad, and a selection of house-made pizzas. Little ones are also taken care of with a kid-friendly menu featuring pizza, fish and chips, chicken tenders, and affordable toasties—Ham & Cheese or Cheese & Tomato—for $8 ’til close.

Depot Brewery’s Happy Hour runs Monday to Friday from 5-6 pm, offering pints of house beers, Buckle Gin and Vodka, and wine by the glass for just $9. Pair that with the large beer garden and plenty of natural light, and you’ve got an ideal spot for your weekend meet-up.
