Dan Hong is bringing rustic Chinese fare to the Sydney CBD with Good Luck Eating House, the casual little sibling to his acclaimed Mr. Wong.
This no-frills diner focuses on generous portions of regional Chinese comfort food, from chilli oil wontons and potsticker dumplings to Hunan and Sichuan inspired stir-fries.
The standout? Cumin lamb skewers cooked over charcoal, delivering that smoky, spiced punch you crave. You’ll also find Aussie-Chinese favourites like sweet and sour pork and salt and pepper calamari alongside traditional cold appetisers, scallion pancakes, and simple noodle dishes.
Hong describes it as a place where you can drop in for a quick bowl of noodles or settle in for a proper feast with friends. The venue takes over the former Good Luck Restaurant Lounge space in the Establishment precinct, opening for lunch and dinner Monday to Saturday, with late-night seatings Thursday through Saturday.
